About the route
The Blue Train (Tren Azul) takes the name "Arga River Train" as it heads to the city of Pamplona. The journey will begin at the Zaragoza – Delicias train station and, after stopping at Zaragoza – Casetas to pick up more travelers, it will head upriver along the Ebro and later pass along the banks of the Arga River, which gives this train its name. Once in Pamplona, you can enjoy free time to visit the city and taste its wonderful gastronomy. Lunch is on your own, so we recommend booking in advance.

On board a historic train
The travel experience on the historic Blue Train is organized entirely by the Zaragoza Railway Friends Association (AZAFT), a non-profit organization that promotes and shares with the public historic railway vehicles declared Cataloged Assets of Aragonese Cultural Heritage, forming a rolling railway museum.
The train includes a Postal Van (Coche Estafeta) P3-3067, which houses an exhibition of objects related to the postal service and the lives of traveling postal workers, where travelers can purchase souvenirs of the Blue Train.
Additionally, the Blue Train has an on-board cafeteria service. Alsa collaborates with AZAFT in ticket sales. All proceeds are used for the preservation and conservation of the Blue Train.
